  • Tuition Guarantee Plan Continued at College of St. Joseph

    The Board of Trustees at the College of St. Joseph in Rutland, VT, has approved the continuation of the college’s Tuition Guarantee Plan, which was instituted last year as a way to help college-aged students who are facing the reality of increasing college costs in a challenging economic environment.

  • Census 2010 Is Coming!

    Vermonters can be part of history by filling out their census questionnaires

    Census 2010 is coming! The 2010 Census questionnaire will be delivered or mailed to households across Vermont in March. You can make history by filling out and returning it as soon as you receive it. Watch for your questionnaire! If you don’t return it, a census worker will have to visit your home to collect the information.

  • Rutland County Pro-Business Coalition at CSJ

    On Monday, February 8th, about 100 people attended the Rutland County Pro-Business Coalition sponsored presentation titled “Vermont’s Fiscal Realities” at 6 p.m. at College of St. Joseph.

    The presentation, which featured a three-person panel of state officials, was intended as an opportunity for citizens to learn the “facts and the fiscal liabilities from the people that administer the laws passed by our elected representatives,” according to Jim Eckhardt of the RCPBC.

  • Vermont Foster Youth Program Receives Grant

    College of St. Joseph is excited to announce it has received a $50,000 grant from Community Funds, Inc.–The John Merck Fund to assist with the College’s STEPS (Students Taking an Effective Path to Success) program. STEPS is a unique program designed specifically to meet the needs of Vermont foster youth transitioning to college.

  • Haitian Earthquake Relief Dinner

    College of St. Joseph will be putting on a reservations only, fine dining experience to assist with Haitian earthquake relief. 100% of funds raised will go directly to St. Damian’s Hospital in Haiti to help care for the many thousands in need of medical care.

    Dr. Charles E. Johnson, Safe Schools Coordinator for the Vermont Department of Education, spoke at the College of St. Joseph on Monday, January 18 at 2:45pm in Tuttle Hall Theater, as part of a remembrance celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The event was free and open to the public.

  • “Career Forward” Class Visits CSJ

    Christ the King’s Middle School “Career Forward” class of twelve 7th and 8th grade students took a tour of the CSJ campus on Friday, December 4th. The students, under the guidance of their teacher Mrs. Lorin Gides, were given an open ended choice of a field trip and they unanimously chose to take a college tour…
