For fifty years, our faculty has been dedicated to student
advancement by providing a meaningful education that links
theory to practice. Our unique educational approach and the
values that guide our academic community, helps us to carry
out our mission in a very special way. We believe in the
importance of the individual and the need for the educational
process to nurture the development of the body, mind and
soul. We are dedicated to provide each student with
meaningful and challenging opportunities for personal and
professional growth.
To accomplish this purpose, we assess each student’s strengths
and limits on an ongoing basis and offer continual academic
advisement to guide individuals in the achievement of their
educational goals. Throughout the process, students receive a
comprehensive liberal arts background coupled with strong
career-oriented training culminating in at least one
internship in the professional field. Our desired result is a
liberally educated individual with strong career skills — just
the right mix of knowledge and skills to lead to fulfilling
employment and service to the community upon graduation.
In addition to the academic experience, as part of our
educational philosophy, we encourage students to participate
in extracurricular activities that build individual character
and promote a cooperative spirit. Many students develop their
leadership skills through participation in student government.
Others play one or more of the various sports offered in our
athletic program. Chorus, drama, and community service
programs also provide our students with diverse opportunities
to grow.
