Project Success Learning Center

Academic support in the basic skill areas is available to all full-time students at the College of St. Joseph through Project Success.  Whether a student needs assistance with an assignment or paper, or is having trouble mastering the course content of a subject, we are available to provide assistance.  The Learning Center offers academic skills classes, arranges tutoring and provides a quiet distraction-free environment for study and learning.
Our Mission To provide all full-time students with academic assistance To provide a comfortable and non-threatening learning environment To assist in securing academic accommodations and services for those students who have self-identified as having a diagnosed learning difference Math Lab The Math Lab is designed to increase awareness in basic math skills.  Students can be self-referred or referred by an instructor.	Our Goals To assist students in maximizing their full potential To design mechanisms that introduce and promote effective learning Programs and Services Coordinating delivery of services for students with learning differences or disabilities, such as untimed testing, additional tutoring, and progress monitoring Proofreading of papers for all students  (if presented to us within a reasonable time) Tutoring of all 100 and 200 level classes Study groups
Writing Lab In addition to help from instructors, the Writing Lab is designed to increase awareness in writing organization, style, and creativity and is offered at varying times during the day throughout the semester.  Students can be self-referred by any instructor who feels the student's writing needs improvement.
