Licensure Requirements
Participants in the program will be considered for licensure recommendation by the Education Division Chair in consultation with program faculty, after completion of
- all required course work with at least a “B” in student teaching and an overall GPA of 3.0.
- a teaching portfolio demonstrating functionality in the general competencies for licensure, the specific endorsement competencies, the Five Standards for Vermont Educators, and the “Vital Results” and “Fields of Knowledge” of the Vermont Framework.
The PRAXIS tests measure teacher candidate’s knowledge and skills. The tests are required for initial and endorsement licensure.
