The Radiography major is designed to complement an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or Radiography. This major benefits two types of students, those who have already completed a radiography program and have passed the national certification exam, and those who will go on to complete a radiography program and obtain national certification following completion of the CSJ course work.

For those students in the latter category, the CSJ program includes specific science courses that prepare students for acceptance into accredited Radiologic Technology or Radiography programs. CSJ has a 100% acceptance rate for those students applying to such programs. Currently CSJ has an articulation agreement with Lebanon College in Lebanon, New Hampshire, that does not guarantee acceptance, but does provide for a close examination of the student’s application.

Students who major in Radiography can choose to complete either an Associate of Science or a Bachelor of Science degree. The advantage of obtaining a college degree in addition to professional certification includes both the expansion of career opportunities and, in the case of the B.S. degree, an expansion of the diversity and depth of academic knowledge. In addition, students can opt to major in both Radiography and Management (B.S. only) so that career opportunities can include management positions.

Associate of Science degree

  • Students who enter CSJ following completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology/Radiography program transfer in 69 credits from that program and complete 15 credits in liberal arts at CSJ.
  • Students who will apply for acceptance into an accredited Radiologic Technology/Radiography program following completion of courses at CSJ complete 24 credits of science, math, and liberal arts courses, and transfer 69 credits following completion of a Radiologic Technology/Radiography program and national certification.

Bachelor of Science degree

  • Students who enter CSJ following completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology/Radiography program transfer in 69 credits from that program and complete 58 credits in liberal arts at CSJ.
  • Students who enter CSJ following completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology/Radiography program and who want to major in both Radiography and Management transfer in 69 credits and complete 60 credits in liberal arts and management at CSJ.
  • Students who will apply for acceptance into an accredited Radiologic Technology/Radiography program following completion of courses at CSJ complete 58 credits of science, math, and liberal arts courses, and transfer 69 credits after completion of a Radiologic Technology/Radiography program and national certification.
