Obtaining a private loan in the students’ name is based on a credit review. Many times a co-signer is needed. Contact the lender of choice to initiate this type of loan. Alternative loans should only be used as a last resort after exploring all other financial aid options.

Code of Conduct

The Financial Aid staff at the College of St. Joseph is expected to always maintain exemplary standards of professional conduct in all aspects of providing student financial aid.  As a member of the National Association of Student Financial Assistance Administrator’s (NASFAA) we have adopted their State of Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, which helps to ensuring transparency in the administration of student financial aid programs.
