All-In-One Recycling Now On Campus

The CSJ Environmental Club is pleased to announce the introduction of All-In-One recycling to the CSJ campus. Currently, CSJ produces more than 216 tons of solid waste in only 6 months. We can all help reduce unnecessary waste by recycling as much material as possible. With All-In-One recycling all items can go into the same box with no sorting to you the consumer. I couldn’t be easier.

Recycling bins can be found in each residential suite and in various classrooms and offices. The best part about this program is that it is convenient to you because there is NO SORTING! As a reminder, recycling is mandatory for all residential students. Students need to discard their own recycling. The recycling bin is behind the men’s dormitory between the trash dumpster and the cardboard dumpster.

Items that can be recycled include:

  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Newspaper
  • Metal cans
  • White and colored paper (staples okay)
  • Boxboard including cereal boxes and shoe boxes, shredded paper, envelopes (windows okay)
  • Plastic bottles including drinking bottles and shampoo bottles
  • Magazines (glossy paper).

Preparations and descriptions of all recyclable items can be found on posters located around campus or you can ask me for a pamphlet.

All members of the CSJ community are encouraged to recycle as much as possible. Every bottle, can, or magazine we recycle is one less thing that will get buried in a landfill..

If you would like a recycling bin in your dorm, classroom, or office, please email: Kayla Rose Billings
