Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship
The CSJ Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship was established in 1987 through the hard work and perseverance of the CSJ Alumni Association. The purpose is to assist current CSJ students to achieve their educational goals. This fund is one of the ways the Alumni Association provides its members with an opportunity to support their alma mater and the students it serves.
The scholarship is provided on a competitive basis to a full time student who has a well-developed work ethic, strong academic performance, good moral character and contributes to the quality of life on campus and in the community. The amount of the award is determined annually based on the performance of the fund.
The 2012-2013 academic year recipient is Ebony Jones, a sophomore from Washington, DC who is majoring in Accounting. She received a $1,000 scholarship.
Currently the market value of the Endowed scholarship is $16,032 (October 2012). During the last 3 years our fund raising events allowed us to deposit $2,500 into the fund.
Alumni Association Referral Scholarship Program
Alumni of the College of St. Joseph know the advantages of having a CSJ education, and this information can be valuable in identifying students who would benefit most from the unique education and personal environment that CSJ offers.
We are asking our alumni to refer students to the College this year to help increase enrollment. Because we value your referrals, we will offer each referred student a scholarship in addition to their Provider Scholarship or other scholarships they may be awarded. These scholarships will be granted in the referrer’s name as our way of expressing appreciation for helping the College achieve its vision.
CSJ recognizes the important role our alumni play in the College’s growth, and realize that their assistance is critical in helping the College of St. Joseph to grow. The Alumni Referral Scholarship program is one way to make a substantial contribution to the College each year.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the background of a student you feel would be a good fit for CSJ, call the Admissions office at 802-776-5286 or email Admissions.
