If you are interested in playing sports as part of your college experience then learn more about the athletic opportunities available as a “Fighting Saints” student-athlete. The college competes at the NAIA Division II level in Men's and Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Basketball, Baseball and Softball.  Our recent conference championships include: 2007-2008 Women's Softball were Sunrise Conference Champions, 2007-2008 Men’s Basketball were Sunrise Conference Champions and competed in NAIA Division II National Tournament; 2006-2007 Women’s Softball Sunrise Conference Champions and competed in NAIA Division II National Tournament; 2006-2007 Women’s Basketball were Sunrise Conference Champions and competed in NAIA Division II National Tournament. The Athletic Center has a 1000 seat gymnasium and offers a fitness room equipped with free weights, nautilus stations, and cardio equipment; a dance and aerobics studio, and racquetball courts.
	CSJ Athletic Director Mark Benetatos (’79), was the CSJ Athletic Director and Men’s Basketball coach from 1981-1984, and then returned as the Men’s Basketball Coach from 1998-2002. He was inducted into the CSJ Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996.
Latest News:   CSJ Women's Softball Team won the Sunrise Conference Title on April 19. They will compete in the NAIA Regional Tournament, May 7-9. CSJ Men's Basketball Team won the Sunrise Conference Title on  February 24. They competed in the NAIA Division II National Tournament  in Lookout, Missouri, on March 12, 2008.

Athletic Opportunities Competition and Recreation The athletic programs at the College of St. Joseph combine the challenging schedule of the NAIA Division II Sunrise Athletic Conference with a positive, supportive environment that promotes success both on and off the field.
