2016 USCAA National Champions

The women’s basketball program at College of St. Joseph is second to none. It took the perfect combination of talent, discipline, and willpower to help make CSJ the top program in United States Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Division II Basketball. The player’s character and commitment to excellence has been something for others to aspire to.

The Lady Saints had the winningest season for any program in school history by the time their 2015-16 season had concluded. They won the Yankee Small College Conference Championship for the second-straight year, as well as the USCAA National Championship. Members of the team were honored with a plethora of awards. Their overall record was a near perfect 31-1, the only loss coming to NJIT, an NCAA Division I team. They finished the season on a 29-game winning streak.

2015 USCAA Player of the Year Regina Steele was awarded First Team All-American as well as USCAA Tournament MVP. Lady Saints point guard Jaz Laracuente was also named First Team All-American and Arreonte Anderson was awarded Second Team All-American. The Lady Saints leading scorer Mookie Kennedy won YSCC Tournament MVP as well.
