Coach Shane Lynch is a graduate of Poultney High School where he was a 3 year varsity letter winner in football and basketball. Lynch continued his basketball career at Vermont Technical College where he captained two USCAA National Tournament teams. Coach Lynch earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from VTC in 2007.
Following college, Coach Lynch began as an Assistant Men’s Coach at Vermont Tech. He then worked as the Assistant Athletic Director and Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Central Maine Community College. Players coached by Lynch have been known for their aggressive defensive style and hustle. When asked about the program, Lynch said “To me basketball is more than basketball. We are helping our players get ready for life in the real world. Our program promotes academics, community service, and family, in addition to our high level of basketball.”
When not on the court, Coach Lynch works as the Communications Coordinator at the College of Saint Joseph and lives in the Rutland area.
