College of St. Joseph will award up to five full tuition grants for Mount St. Joseph Academy graduates who directly matriculate to CSJ. The MSJ/CSJ Sisters of St. Joseph Unity Grant is worth more than $40,000 over two years.

CSJ and MSJ wish to recognize the rich legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph and the two schools they founded in Rutland, VT. The MSJ-to-CSJ partnership supports our ongoing efforts to help make college affordable and accessible. We wish to provide a wonderful opportunity for students to receive a quality education at an affordable cost.

Qualifying Students

MSJ/CSJ Sisters of St. Joseph Unity Grant is open to students in their senior year at MSJ and can be awarded to those MSJ graduates who directly matriculate to CSJ following their senior year.

This grant covers the first two years of full-time matriculated tuition at CSJ. Students must remain in good and full academic standing for the grant to remain in effect.

To Apply

Students must be admitted to CSJ through the traditional application process. In order to be considered for this grant, the student must write an additional essay (750-1,000 words) focusing on how the student’s experiences at MSJ evidence the core values of the Sisters of St. Joseph. The student should also include how they plan to continue that effort at CSJ.

The completed admissions application and additional essay will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.

In order to be considered for the MSJ/CSJ Sisters of St. Joseph Unity Grant, students must write an additional essay (750-1,000 words) focusing on the core values of the Sisters of  St. Joseph and how the student’s experiences at MSJ evidences one or more of these core values and how the student plans to continue that effort at CSJ.

* Room/Board/ Student Fees apply. The MSJ/CSJ Sisters of St. Joseph Unity Grant is a two-year tuition only grant. Grant recipients are not required to reside on campus, though if they wish to do so, they would be responsible for room and board costs, and all additional fees associated with such. CSJ fees apply to all grant recipients.

When entering CSJ, should the grant recipient request, and then also be admitted to the Provider Scholarship Program, the grant recipient would be held to the Provider Scholarship Program standards. Upon completion of the MSJ/CSJ Sisters of St. Joseph Grant, the appropriate Provider Scholarship pricing would then apply. When entering CSJ, if the grant recipient does not request to be admitted, and/or does not qualify to be admitted, to the Provider Scholarship Program, then upon completion of the MSJ/CSJ Sisters of St. Joseph Grant, current year CSJ student pricing would apply.
