College of St. Joseph Assistant Professor of Business Judy Morgan will present the July GMP College Connections series talk.
Judy will present Energy and the Economy: How One Fuels the Other at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the Energy Innovation Center, 68-70 Merchants Row in downtown Rutland.
Judy will discuss the inter-dependencies between energy and the economy. The talk will also explore energy security, the challenges we face and our search for possible solutions.
Judy teaches marketing, ethics for the professional, organization behavior and human resource management. Morgan received her BA in marketing from Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota and her MS in organizational leadership & management from Antioch University NE in Keene, NH. She has worked in corporate, nonprofit, government, and academic sectors and is interested in strategic planning, growth and development, and external relations.
The monthly GMP College Connections lecture series was created as part of an agreement between GMP and all four Rutland County colleges to work together to bolster economic, educational and community development. The talks will be given by faculty from each of the Rutland County colleges. The presentations will explore a variety of energy issues, including the science of energy, renewable power, financial concerns and the psychology of energy use. All talks will be held at GMP’s new Energy Innovation Center.
The free public event will last approximately an hour. Light refreshments will be served.
