The CSJ family is raising funds for junior Amanda Loree, who is fighting a brain tumor.

Amanda was first diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 20 months, at which time she began treatments. By the age of three Amanda had gone through surgery, radiation treatment and chemotherapy. When Amanda turned 10 years old the family was told by doctors that she was in a zero percentile for reoccurrence and most likely she was cured.

Amanda was cancer free for 16 years before her tumor reoccurred in 2012, during her sophomore year of college.

Throughout the past year Amanda has overcome many difficult days and months and continues her fight against this disease with a positive attitude and hope for a cure. Despite the obstacles placed in her life Amanda continues with her education at CSJ. She is also compassionate about RELAY FOR LIFE sponsored by the American Cancer Society and recently started her own team, Amanda’s Pandas, to raise money for a cure for cancer.

The CSJ community is praying for Amanda and cheering her on every step of the way.  Let us help the Loree family with the financial burdens that come with this type of situation. Once the fund-raiser has ended a check will be presented to the family. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to Amanda. The last date to donate is April 30.
