EBSCOhost Databases –        

Academic Search Premier:  The world’s largest academic multi-disciplinary database, Academic Search  Premier provides full text for nearly 4,650 serials, including full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles. This database is updated on a daily basis via EBSOhost.

 

Business Source Premier:  This is the industry's most used business research database, providing the full text for more than 8,800 serials. Business Source Premier provides full text back to 1965 and searchable cited references back as far as 1998. Coverage includes virtually all subject areas related to business. This database is updated on a daily basis via EBSOhost.

 

EJS Enhanced:  Find article-level access for about 10,000 E-Journals available through EBSCO's Electronic Journal Service (EJS). For users with a valid subscription, EBSCO's SmartLinks Technology provides links directly to publishers' content.

 

ERIC:  ERIC, the Educational Resource Information Center, contains more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1,000 educational and education-related journals. *NOTE: A link is provided for full-text ED Documents available from 1980 to the present.

 

Newspaper Source: Newspaper Source provides selected full text for 30 national (U.S.) and international newspapers. The database also contains full text television & radio news transcripts, and selected full text for more than 200 regional (U.S.) newspapers. This database is updated daily via EBSCOhost.

 

PsycINFO 1887-Current:  PsycINFO, from the American Psychological Association (APA), contains nearly 2.3 million citations and summaries of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations, all in psychology and related disciplines, dating as far back as the 1800s. 97 percent of the covered material is peer-reviewed. Journal coverage, which spans to 1887 to present, includes international material selected from approximately 2,050 periodicals in more than 25 languages.

 

PsycARTICLES:  PsycARTICLES, from the American Psychological Association (APA), is a definitive source of full-text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology. The database contains more than 45,000 articles from 57 journals - 46 published by the American Psychological Association (APA) and 11 from allied organizations. It includes all journal articles, letters to the editor and errata from each journal. Coverage spans 1985 to present.

 

Regional Business News: This database provides comprehensive full text coverage for regional business publications. Regional Business News incorporates coverage of 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States. This database is updated on a daily basis.

JSTOR HomeJSTOR (Arts & Sciences Collection 1): The Arts & Sciences 1 Collection includes the complete (full-text) back runs of 119 titles in fifteen disciplines. Established in 1997, it is JSTOR's first collection and includes many of the core research and society published journals in economics, history, political science, and sociology, as well as in other key fields in the humanities and social sciences. This collection also includes a selection of titles in the more science-oriented fields of ecology, mathematics, and statistics.

LexisNexis Academic This flagship service provides full-text documents from over 5,900 news, business, legal, medical, and reference publications with a variety of flexible search options. 

The 5,900 sources include:

  • National and regional newspapers, wire services, broadcast transcripts, international news, and non-English language sources
  • U.S. Federal and state case law, codes, regulations, legal news, law reviews, and international legal information
  • Shepard's® Citations for all U.S. Supreme Court cases back to 1789
  • Business news journals, company financial information, SEC filings and reports, and industry and market news

Oxford English Dictionary

The Oxford English Dictionary is the accepted authority on the evolution of the English language over the last millennium. It is an unsurpassed guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of over half a million words, both present and past. It traces the usage of words through 2.5 million quotations from a wide range of international English language sources, from classic literature and specialist periodicals to film scripts and cookery books.

Gale Group logo VOL-Gale Databases:  Vermont Online Library, which includes a variety of full-text magazine databases of general information, as well as literary, health and medical information. Other databases include a news database, as well as a business information database.

Wilson Web

Make this the first stop for any biographic inquiry, Wilson Biographies Plus Illustrated includes in-depth, full-text profiles, with more than 32,000 photographs of the subjects, plus up-to-date bibliographies. With coverage of newsmakers and figures of prominence from a wide range of fields, it encompasses biographical coverage from a host of high quality Wilson biographical resources, including Current Biography, the World Authors Series, and the Junior Authors & Illustrators series. In addition, Wilson Biographies Plus Illustrated includes over 65,000 profiles licensed from a number of respected reference publishers.
