Praised in previous productions for his robust voice and comic flair, North Carolina-born Baritone Jonathan Hare is based in New York City.

He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music.

Recent performances include Trigorin in Chekhov’s The Seagull, also with the Dicapo Opera Theatre, which was staged in New York and at the Szeged National Theatre in Hungary. He has also sung the roles of Papageno in Die Zauberflote with the Martina Arroyo Foundation, Marcello in La Boheme with the Martha Cardona Foundation, the Baron in La Traviata with the New Rochelle Opera, Figaro in Il Barbiere di Sivaglia, Belcore in Lelisir damore, Dr Falke in Die Fledermaus, Morales in Carmen, Masetto in Don Giovanni with the Opera Company of Brooklyn and Straveling in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

His singing has garnered praise from the New York Times, The Daily News and Classical Singer amongst others.
