Sara Louise Petrocelli, mezzo soprano from New Jersey, makes her debut this summer with the dell’Arte Opera Ensemble as Sesto in La clemenza di Tito. In 2012, she covered the title role of Ciro in Babilonia at the Caramoor Festival, and performed the roles of Suzuki in Madama Butterfly with New Rochelle Opera, and Teresa in La Sonnambulaat the Altamura Center for the Arts.

Sara was recently named a district winner in the 2012 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. As a Studio Artist with Tulsa Opera from 2010-12, she performed the roles of Flora Bervoix in La Traviata, Dinah in Trouble in Tahiti, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Berta in Il barbiere di Siviglia, and Jade Boucher in Dead Man Walking. In September, Sara will perform Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro with Western Plains Opera, and in 2014 she will appear on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera in the ensemble of Borodin’s Prince Igor.
