Complete the college experience by
living on campus . . .
The opportunity
to meet your next lifelong friend awaits you at the College of
St. Joseph. Our residential experience provides you with
an array of opportunities to work and socialize with new
friends with different backgrounds and interests. The
anonymity prevalent at larger campuses is never an issue at
CSJ where “everyone knows your name.” The
family-oriented atmosphere in the residence halls supports
your individual success by helping you to build lasting
relationships with students and staff. Working as a
team, you will have many opportunities to grow personally and
professionally as well as to develop your abilities as a
leader.
Enjoy the best of extracurricular life
. . .
Have some free time after
class? You could be playing ultimate Frisbee or a pick
up game of flag football, involved in a “washers” tournament
in front of the residence halls or in your suite listening to
music or just hanging out.
Many activities for residents
are offered by student services personnel and members of the
CSJ Student Government Association. For example, you can
attend a semi-formal at a local hotel, take a weekend trip, enjoy a campus beach party in the middle of winter,
or participate in a “watch until you drop” movie marathon.
If you prefer outdoor
recreational activities, opportunities abound throughout the
year in Vermont. You can snowboard on Killington, hike the
Appalachian Trail, swim in one of the numerous lakes in the
region, or mountain bike on some of the best hillsides in New
England.

Experience independent living through
our residential
experience . . .
At the heart of the CSJ
community is the residential experience. Your world will
revolve around the close-knit community of CSJ’s two residence
halls, Roncalli and Medaille. Both halls are organized in
suite fashion with most units containing four bedrooms, a
lounge, and a bathroom facility. The college dining room is
in Roncalli Hall and serves three meals a day conveniently
scheduled to accommodate the academic schedule.
On-campus living provides you
with more than a place to hang your hat—it’s a home away from
home. Among your first contacts will be our residential life
staff. Our current resident directors are: Kirby and
Areli Reutter in Medaille Hall, and Francis Zajac, a CSJ
alumni, in Roncalli Hall. Four of our current
students serve as resident assistants. The Residential Life
staff is very approachable, and quickly becomes one of your
most important sources of information and advice regarding
life on campus. Three of our residence hall personnel are current
graduate students. You will find them invaluable in
facilitating your success as a student at CSJ.
In addition, when living on
campus, you will develop closer relationships with faculty,
administrators and other staff members. You will be able to
give them direct feedback regarding your interests and needs.
In the Vermont tradition, “town meetings” are held each
semester to provide you with an opportunity to discuss issues
involving campus life. These meetings enable you to talk
directly to college administrators who are actively involved
in developing policy for the college. |
