There are many rewards for being an active, contributing member of the community and at CSJ it's easy to get involved.
In addition to making friends and discovering new interests, you can develop leadership skills by taking positions of responsibility. Students who assume leadership roles can have an impact on major issues that affect our entire community.
Service to the community is integrated into many aspects of student life at the College of St. Joseph. Awareness of our responsibility toward others is part
of our Catholic culture. Rutland, one of the state's largest cities, presents many opportunities for students to serve others in need.
St. Joseph Hall
St. Joseph Hall is the central building on campus and contains administrative offices, bookstore, laboratories, library, computer center, faculty offices, ost of the College
classrooms, counseling services, and the career

the best that Vermont has to offer.

Athletic Center
The CSJ Athletic Complex encloses 27,455 square feet of floor space. It includes a 1000 seat gymnasium, a dance/aerobics room, a weight room, and two racquetball courts.
The Athletic
Center is the home of the Fighting Saints
intercollegiate teams and serves as the hub for
student intramurals. The facility often hosts special
events for both the College and greater Rutland
community.
Tuttle
Hall Student Center
The focal point of student life outside the classroom is Tuttle Hall, the CSJ
student center. Tuttle Hall is the hub of activity for
student organizations and social activities of a growing
student body and faculty. It houses the admissions office
and student services office.
In addition, it is the home of Campus Ministry and the Chapel, which helps
nurture the spiritual growth of the CSJ community. Tuttle Hall also features a student lounge and game room,
snack bar,
meeting rooms, offices, and a 200-seat theater.
he main eatery on
campus serves a variety of entrees, soup, salad & sandwich
bar, homemade desserts
and ice cream. Students, staff and faculty dine in the
comfortable dining room in the company of good friends.
Rutland Community
CSJ students make the most of our proximity to Killington, Pico, Okemo and other nationally ranked ski and recreation areas. If you enjoy downhill skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking or canoeing, you'll have more than enough opportunity to take advantage of the surrounding outdoor activities.
Vermont is one of the safest states in the country. For added safety, students have access to emergency numbers for 24-hour campus security.
At CSJ we believe that learning occurs both in and out
of the classroom. Students who reside on campus find that
our suite-style residence halls provide a safe and
supportive environment for cooperative living and
learning. Because living on campus provides unique
opportunities for personal growth, all students 21 or
younger at the College, and are registered as full-time
and matriculated, and who are not residing with parents in
their primary residence or who are claimed on their
parent's most recent IRS 1040 form, must live in one of
the residences halls.
There are many rewards to being an active, contributing member of the
community and at the College of St. Joseph it's easy to get involved.
The College of St. Joseph recognizes the unique communal atmosphere of the
residence setting. Each single-sex residence hall is divided into suites housing
a maximum of eight (8) students.
See for yourself!
Residents of each hall elect a residence hall council to act as an advisory body
of the resident community.
CSJ promotes and advances respect for human dignity,
for the rights and views of others
regardless of race, sex, religion
or social position.
