From Student To Professional: Putting It All Together
At the College of St. Joseph we work hard to ensure a smooth transition from student to professional. Our long-term partnerships with local corporations, small businesses, regional industries, human services agencies and schools in the area are key to the career preparation of our graduates.
Career Services offers the services of a career counselor who will help you explore and set academic, personal and professional goals. Assistance is available in developing resumes, coordinating job search strategies, and applying to graduate schools. Career Services also provides up-to-date listings of available full and part-time regional employment and internship opportunities.
Career Services offers students and alumni access to FOCUS, an internet based interactive career and educational planning system. FOCUS provides you with a complete picture of your interests, values, personality, skills, and leisure activities using self-assessment questionnaires, interest inventories, and personality tests. Students or alumni wishing to take advantage of this tool should contact the Office of Career Services to receive access to facilitate self-registration on the website.
