CSJ Men Make A Run At Nationals
This past Friday the College of St. Joseph Men’s Cross Country Team competed at its first 2011 USCAA Cross Country National Meet in Lake Placid, NY. The meet was preceded by a banquet Thursday evening at the High Peaks Resort celebrating student athletes and the over 348 athletes in attendance. This marked the largest crowd ever. Friday morning in 25 degree snowy weather the men raced the challenging 8000m course. Michael Reyes completed the course in 130th place and a time of 38:32. Vincent Montello was 138th in 40:40 and Peter Guetti came in 142nd in 41:44. It was a very exciting weekend, and Lake Placid is a great place for a meet of this caliber. The men had a great race and rounded out their season on a high note. This was a great opportunity for our school and our program.
