Google Apps Training for Educators
Want to earn graduate credit for your skill with working with Google’s Education Productivity Tools? College of St. Joseph has two graduate level courses designed to award credit to educators who can demonstrate competency using the following Google products: Gmail, YouTube, Google Search, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms and Google Classroom.
Both courses are conducted 100 percent online and YOU determine the number of graduate credits you want to earn!
The Google for Education Level 1 course begins with completing an assessment that requires you to demonstrate competency with the Google products listed above.
College of St. Joseph is partnering with AppsEvents so participants who have successfully completed any of the Google For Education Boot Camps or Summit Academies within the last 12 months are exempt from this requirement.
Students unable to demonstrate competency to develop the required learning activities will be directed to a self-paced tutorial that will afford them the opportunity to become competent. Once a basic level of competency is demonstrated, students will be guided through the completion of the final course requirements.
The second course, Google for Education Level 2 is only open to students who have completed a Google for Education Level 1 course or an AppsEvent Level 2 Educator Certification Boot Camp.
Approximate amount of time a student can expect to spend completing the final course requirements:
1 credit =15 hours
2 credits = 30 hours
3 credits = 45 hours
Requirements for Level 1 and Level 2 Courses:
- Basic Competency working with Gmail, YouTube, Google Search, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms and Google Classroom.
