Rutland Chamber & CSJ Announce Business Workshops

Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce has announced its Fall 2018 Business Education Series, designed to sharpen skills in a variety of business topics. Weekly workshops begin September 13.

CSJ Providers Begin New Semester of Service

College of St. Joseph Provider students kicked off the new academic year with a morning of volunteer service. Students completed over 60 hours of community service for Habitat for Humanity, Rutland Community Cupboard, Vermont Foodbank, and West Street Cemetery.

Dr. Bob Walsh Named to Governor’s Task Force on Community Violence

CSJ faculty member Dr. Bob Walsh has been named to Vermont Governor Phil Scott’s Community Violence Prevention Task Force. Dr. Walsh, who is the Clinical Director of CSJ’s newly established Traumatology Institute, is one of 19 Vermonters appointed to the group.

CSJ Keeps Accreditation, Placed on 2-Year Probation

On July 31, 2018, College of St. Joseph received written notification that the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) voted at their meeting on June 28 to place the College on probation for a period not to exceed two years because it did not meet the Commission’s standard on Institutional Resources, more specifically financial resources.

College of St. Joseph has announced a program that will enable students to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in just three years, joining a growing number of colleges offering the shorter path as a way to save students money, and allow them to enter the workforce sooner.

VT Actors’ Repertory Theatre Finds New Home at CSJ

College of St. Joseph is pleased to announce a new partnership with Vermont Actors’ Repertory Theatre (ART), giving ART a new home stage for the 2018-19 season, and giving CSJ its first resident theatre company.
