2019-2020 Scholarships/Grants

The College of St. Joseph offers the following in scholarship/grant awards to accepted new full-time incoming students. These funds are for the 2019-20 academic year and are not transferrable to another college. A student receiving full-tuition assistance is not eligible for additional assistance. Students that qualify for more than one scholarship will be evaluated based on academic performance and financial need. All funds are subject to availability of funds and are subject to change due to notification of additional resources. Aid assistance cannot exceed the overall cost of attendance.

Federal Grants

The FAFSA is required for consideration of the Pell Grants and Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG). Both of these grants are based on need and availability of funding.

Pell Grant

Federal Pell Grants are awarded to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s or professional degree. Eligibility is based on FAFSA information and need.

The maximum Federal Pell Grant award is for the 2018–19 award year is $6,095. The amount depends on

  • Your financial need.
  • Your cost of attendance.
  • Your status as a full-time or part-time student.
  • Your plans to attend school for a full academic year or less.

Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)

Generally, available to students receiving a Federal Pell Grant. The same criteria is used, however, at CSJ. Full-time enrollment status is required. Provides undergraduate students in need with awards ranging from $100 to $4,000. Based on availability of funding.

State Grants

Vermont residents in their first undergraduate degree program should also complete the Vermont Grant application. Non-resident students are encouraged to check with their state’s grant agency. The amount a student is eligible to receive is determined by VSAC. Contact the VSAC grant program at 1-800-882-4166 for any assistance.

 

Scholarships for First-Time Students

College of St. Joseph offers several scholarships for first time, undergraduate students, including the Alumni Referral Scholarship and the Sisters of St. Joseph Grant.


Scholarships For Transfer Students

College of St. Joseph offers scholarships to students that transfer to CSJ from another accredited college or university.


Scholarships for Current Students

College of St. Joseph offers nearly 20 scholarships for students who currently attend CSJ.
