As CSJ approaches its April 1st deadline with accreditors, President Jennifer Scott met with school faculty, staff and students Wednesday to update the community and to share the plan for what she believes is the best strategy for the institution to remain open and accredited.
“NECHE has made it very clear that in order to remain accredited past August, we must be able to demonstrate with solid evidence that we have the financial resources in place to continue to support our students. To that end, I’m pleased to share with you that we are in talks with a potential partner institution and I’m very optimistic about our plans to move forward. We are still working on the structure of this partnership as well as a transition plan to get us through the remainder of our probation period, but we’re feeling very positive at this point in the process.”
Next steps include presenting the plan to the Board of Trustees for approval and then to submit the plan, along with additional evidence, to the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) for their review and determination.
