Meggan is a recent transplant to Vermont, having moved from Omaha, Nebraska, to Rutland. Meggan graduated from Hastings College, in Hastings, NE, with a double major in Religion and Social Justice. Recently she finished her Master’s in Theology from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. She was named an Oxfam America CHANGE Leader (2007-2008), and named a Bread for the World Hunger Justice Leader (2008-2009). After graduating college she participated in the Lutheran Volunteer Corp program, wherein individuals volunteer for a year at a non-profit, live in community with other volunteers, and practice simple and sustainable living. After completing her year of service, her placement site hired her on, where she served as the Urban Ministries Coordinator, running a weekly food shelf and weekly free medical clinic. She is very excited to be at College of St. Joseph, working with the Provider Program, and looks forward to exploring Vermont.
