Gordon is a native of Suffolk County on New York’s Long Island and graduated from Rutland High School in 1979. She completed her degree as part of the CSJ Class of 1983 — BA, Liberal Studies (English), summa cum laude. She is best-known to many for her media career, which began in 1986. She spent 21 of those years at WJJR-FM in Rutland.
She also has more than a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, including serving as executive director of United Way of Rutland County, and working with VT Association of Business, Industry and Rehabilitation, and the Rutland Area Prevention Coalition.
Gordon is currently a member of the Bowse Health Trust Board of Trustees, Rutland Region Workforce Investment Board Executive Committee, Vestry of Trinity Episcopal Church, Rutland, Lay Deputy from Vermont’s Deputation to the General Convention of the Episcopal Church, Vice President of the CSJ Alumni Association, and the board of Vermont Actors Repertory Theatre.
