Religious Life at CSJ

College of St. Joseph’s mission is to educate men and women of varied faiths and backgrounds for lives of continuing personal and professional growth, intellectual development and service to the community.

We are dedicated to our mission and the core values of the Sisters of St. Joseph. The Catholic character of CSJ shapes the college in areas including student affairs, faculty and staff activities, and curricular and co-curricular programs.

The College strives to create an atmosphere that fosters development of personal spirituality. The College community pursues a common dedication to the truth, a common vision of the dignity of the human person, and is characterized by mutual respect, sincere dialogue, freedom of conscience and protection of the rights of individuals.

We offer opportunities for prayer and celebration, including weekly spiritual reflections and engagement in service and activities that produce a positive impact on the lives of those in our community.

In addition to our on campus chapel, the greater Rutland region is also home to many places of worship across numerous religious denominations.

Spiritual Reflections

Each week, students have the opportunity to take time to reflect on God in a group setting. Reflections are led by various members of the College community.

College of St. Joseph offers the opportunity for students to participate in courses on religious studies.
